Kabul (BNA) The Senate in its message released Monday said that 10th Muharram the Martyrdom Day of Imam Hussain the grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) along with his companions gives the message of Jihad and resistance against tyranny, insult and injustice in society.
The uprising made by Imam Hussian against despotic rule of Yazid and his oppression, give the lesson to Muslims to resist against injustice and tyranny, the senate said in the message. In the message, the senate also called upon countrymen to donate blood on the day of Ashura and thus pay tribute to the martyrs of Karbala. In a similar message, the House of People said that the people of Afghanistan by observing Ashura Day to commemorate the Martyrdom of Imam Hussain and his companions in Karbala of Iraq want to keep alive the uprising of Karbala to safeguard Islam. Ashura is an unforgiving lesson to all despotic and tyranny forces not to commit oppressions against Islamic values, the message stated. The House of People in its message besides expressing sympathy with Ashura mourners also prayed for returning durable peace and security in Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and troubled areas of the world.
