Thousand Refugees Head Back Home from Iran  

ZARANJ  (BNA) In the last two days More than 1,200 Afghan refugees returned to the country from Iran, officials said.

The head of the Refugees and Repatriations department of Nimroz   Mawlawi Sediqullah Nussrat told BNA that in the last two days 1274 Afghan refugees entered the country through the silk bridge of Zaranj.

Nussrat added that among these refugees, 171 of them were identified as oppressed and vulnerable people and were introduced to the IOM office to receive cash and non-cash aid.

Officials say in the last two weeks, more than 7,000 Afghan refugees have returned to the country through the Silk Road.
