International Day For elimination of Violation Against Women Observed

Kabul (BNA) The International day for elimination of violation against women was observed in the ministry for information and culture yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, Nabi Farahi the deputy to the ministry for information and culture said that the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan had spared no efforts in elimination of violence against women over the past 10 years and is committed in this regard.
He also described the low rate awareness on human rights as the main cause of violation against women in society. 
The deputy to Bakhtar Information Agency (BIA) also spoke at the ceremony, stating that women are suffered and facing variety of violence in society but unfortunately the perpetrators of violence have escaped punishment.
She also called on the human right activists to take necessary steps for the elimination of violence against women in Afghanistan.
Zahir Hassan the financial in charge of the ministry for information and culture in his speech called on the religious leaders, tribal chiefs and media to play their due role in elimination of violence against women in society.
