Saturday, May 9, 2020 Kabul (BNA) Acting Foreign Minister Hanif Atmar has held a telephonic conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal Bin Farhan and discussed intra-Afghan talks, ceasefire and other issues of mutual interest, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said in a statement on Friday. Saudi foreign minister congratulated Atmar on taking charge as foreign minister and hoped for closed ties between the two countries in the future. Atmar thanked his Saudi counterpart and demanded Riyadh’s active role in Afghan peace process.
