Kabul (BNA) Lead by chief executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the National Unity Government (NUG) high-level delegation has returned home after an official visit to United States and Canada.
During visit to the US, the country’s chief executive and his accompanied delegation have met US Vice President Mike Pence, US Secretary of Defense Gen. Mattis, US National Security Advisor and a number of other US officials and senators.
During his stay in Washington, chief executive has delivered speeches in a number of think tank and other prestigious foundations and met with US based Afghans and employees of Afghanistan embassy to Washington.
Meanwhile, the country’s chief executive has delivered speech in Halifax International Security Forum held in Canada as well as met the NATO General Secretary and Canadian minister of defense.
The national unity government delegation has also met with UN General Secretary and delivered speech at the UN General Assembly in New York.
