Qalat (BNA) Fourteen Taliban militants were killed in two clashes in Zabul yesterday.
The clashes took place last night in Arghandab district and suburbs of Qalat following a Taliban attack on a military base and convoy.
The first clash took place last night in Moladin village in the central Zabul city following a Taliban attack on a military base.
The second battle took place in Arghandab district when a group of attackers attacked a convoy carrying security troops.
Senior Atal Corps official in south of the country told BNA that 14 militants were killed and six others wounded in the clashes.
The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
According to another report, the security forces prevented a series of explosions in Zabul by detecting and neutralizing 20 mines.
No one has been arrested in connection with the bombings.
