Kandahar (BNA) Sixteen Taliban insurgents have been killed in the latest airstrikes in Kandahar.
The Taliban were targeted last night in Maiwand and Panjwai districts.
Senior military official in south told BNA that the Taliban have been targeted in their hideouts just as they were preparing to attack several checkpoints.
He confirmed the killing of 16 Taliban insurgents in the attacks.
The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
