Kabul (BNA) Election of Mr. Donald Trump as US president not only will further strengthen relation between Kabul and Washington but also will provide more opportunities in war against terrorism. American authorities say.
BNA political analyst commenting on the issue writes Donald Trump the Republicans nominate for US presidential elections triumphing over his democrat rival Mrs. Clinton opened his way in to the White House. Since the nomination of Mr. Trump to US presidential election until holding the elections there were much doubts and suspicions about his victory, because of his controversial statements regarding to the world’s affairs and US foreign relations with other countries. However, in spite of all suspicions and doubts he elected as US president and now the world is looking toward Mr. Trumps actions as the president of United States of America.
The US embassy to Kabul holding a special ceremony welcomed the outcomes of the elections and the US ambassador to Kabul talking about consistence support and cooperation of that country to Afghanistan, once again as a friend and strategic ally of America. The above statements are expressed in a time that Afghanistan and the region having faced with disastrous activities of terrorists, extremists and foreign interventions which needs to deal with the urgently. The US that leads the counter terrorism war in world level, should decisively deal with the danger of terrorism and extremism. In spite of that, Mr. Trump’s speeches during his elections campaigns followed with concerns, but those frank and decisive statements also caused the hopes that he can settle and end the continuous problem of terrorism and extremism forever that suffering Afghan people the most.
As the western countries diplomats say, due to many reason Afghanistan will maintain its importance in US foreign policies. The Afghanistan role in fighting against terrorism and the consequences of it in the region and in the world are the two major factors that prompt US to support Afghanistan during reign of US president – elect Mr. Trump.
Meanwhile, according to Strategic Security Cooperation Agreement of Afghanistan and US signed earlier, is committed in supporting and cooperating Afghanistan. In the same time, the US new leader knows well about funding, recruiting, and training source of terrorists and extremists and using them as a means for achieving their strategic goals.
What is the most important for Afghan people in recent political development in America is commitment in war against terrorism and extremism, the two inhumane phenomenon that suffer Afghans the most and badly affect the entire world.
We hope during the rule of Mr. Trump, as the president of US, should be focus more on elimination of terrorists and extremists and for achieving this great aim, Afghan people and governments firmly stand with international forces and fight to end the notorious phenomenon of terrorism and extremism forever.
