Survey Begins for Panjshir River Water Transfer Project to Kabul

 

BAZARAK (BNA): The surveying process for the water transfer project from the Panjshir River to the capital city of Kabul has commenced on Saturday. This survey is being carried out by experts from the Department of Surveys and Design of the Ministry of Water and Energy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
Hafiz Mohammad Agha Hakim, the governor of Panjshir, has expressed optimism about the project starting soon with the initiation of the survey program. In a recent meeting with the delegation from the Department of Survey and Design Development and the head of the Turkish SKM construction company, the governor stated his willingness to collaborate in any way necessary for the successful implementation of the project.
The project aims to address the issue of safe drinking water in Kabul in the future. According to Mohammad Aref Momand, the head of Survey and Design Department at the Ministry of Energy, the project is approximately 120 kilometers long, starting from the capital of Panjshir, Bazaarak, and extending to the Tarakhel area in Kabul.
It is anticipated that in the near future, a construction contract for the project will be signed with a selected construction company, marking a significant step towards the realization of the Panjshir River water transfer project to Kabul.
