Stanekzai Describes Recent Advancements in Afghanistan as Unprecedented

 

KABUL (BNA): Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, Deputy Foreign Minister of Islamic Emirate, described the recent developments in the country as indisputable and unprecedented in a meeting with Norway’s Chargé d’Affaires for Afghanistan.

Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai met with Paul Klouman Bekken, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Norwegian Embassy in Afghanistan, in Kabul, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Abdul Qahar Balkhi.

During the meeting, Bekken expressed his approval with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s new government’s security, stability, and economic achievements.

He commended the government’s handling of the repatriation procedure for Afghans returning from neighboring countries.

Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai emphasized that the recent progress in the country is undeniable and remarkable, stating that all government departments have effectively managed the return of migrants to the country in coordination with the international community.

He added that there is still a need for international cooperation in providing essential humanitarian support for the Afghan returnees.

The two sides also exchanged views on some regional issues during the meeting.
