KABUL (BNA): The head of the Islamic Emirate’s political office in Doha Mr. Suhail Shaheen, discussed the inclusion of Afghanistan in the SWIFT system with Thomas West, the special envoy of the United States for the country.
Mr.Shaheen, on his X app page, said that he and his team met with Thomas West, the U.S. special representative for Afghanistan in Qatar.
In the meeting, they discussed various issues, including the expulsion of Afghan migrants from Pakistan, the prevention of drug trafficking, and the inclusion of Afghanistan in the SWIFT system.
SWIFT is a global financial network used by banks and institutions for rapid, accurate, and secure transmission of information such as fund transfer instructions.
