Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in a decree issued in honor of the country’s 96th independence anniversary, in accordance with the provision of phrase 18 of article 64 of the constitution of Afghanistan, ordered reduction of the prison terms of both male and female and waived off the remaining terms of the prisoners who have been imprisoned on the final decision of the authorized courts of the country.
The decree of the President containing 11 articles specifies all issues and categories pertaining to the definition and procedures to be taken into consideration at this decree by the related sate organs and implement the contents of this decree accordingly. The decree is enforced from the 28th of Asad 1394 which is coincided with August 19 of 2015.
