Refugees Ministry and UN Office Discussed Transfer of IDP’s Families to their Homes

 

KABUL (BNA) the deputy Minister of Refugees, in a meeting with the representative of the Central Zone Office of Humanitarian Aid of the United Nations, stated that tens of thousands of displaced families are waiting to be transferred to their homes.

The Deputy Refugees Minister, Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Rashid, met with Ms. Gloria Lazic, the representative of the Central Zone Office, the coordinating body for humanitarian aid of the United Nations in Afghanistan.

During this meeting, the issue of transferring the displaced individuals to their homes was discussed, according to a statement released by the Ministry.

Mawlawi Rashid stated that some families have been displaced due to natural disasters and drought, and now the conditions are favorable for them to return to their homes.

“In Kabul city, thousands of families are ready to voluntarily return to their homes, and we expect the cooperation of aid organizations and institutions in this regard,” he said.

Ms. Gloria Lazic stated: In coordination with each other, we will find a solution for the internal displaced persons’ transfer.
