Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani spoke via phone with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Emir of Qatar here yesterday morning, a presidential press office statement said.
Qatari Emir extended condolences to President Ghani on demise of Afghan ambassador to the gulf state, Engineer Abdul Hakim Dalili. Both sides also discussed peace process and emphasized on immediate ceasefire, the statement added.
Qatari Emir, as quoted in the statement, pledged that his country would do more to facilitate ceasefire in the country.
The two leaders also discussed enhancing bilateral relations and trade ties, the statement concluded.
