Kabul (BNA) Hamid Karzai President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan cancelled his trip to United Kingdom (UK) after yesterday’s terrorist attacks in the country.
According to presidential spokesman office to BNA, Hamid Karzai who was in an official meeting in Berlin of Germany and it was due to leave Germany for UK yesterday evening at the local time, hearing the news of two terrorist attacks in Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif cities, cancelled his trip to London and returned back to Afghanistan.
It is said that while his arriving to Kabul, President Karzai will visit the injured persons and share his sympathies with the victims’ families.
According to interior ministry, the suicide attack which occurred in Kabul yesterday, 55 people were martyred including 4 children and 2 women and 134 others were wounded. Also, in other terrorist attack in Mazar-i-Sharif, a number of our compatriots were martyred and wounded, said the source.
