Education Ministry Launches 10 School Development Projects in Balkh Province


KABUL(BNA): The Ministry of Education has initiated practical work on 10 new development projects in schools across Balkh province.

According to the Ministry’s statement, 10 new school projects in Balkh province, valued at 47.5 million Afghanis, have commenced. The ceremony was attended by education leaders, local officials, religious scholars, and tribal elders.

These projects include the construction of boundary walls for schools, toilets, handwashing facilities, the drilling of wells, and the activation of solar power systems in schools in the districts of Nahr-e-Shahi, Dehdadi, Balkh, Charbolak, Chamtal, and Zari.

The costs of these projects are being covered by a partner organization collaborating with the Ministry of Education.

Meanwhile, Alhaj Mawlawi Abdul Jalil Shaheedkhil, head of the Balkh Department of Education, highlighted the importance and urgency of these projects. The official commencement began with the laying of the foundation stone.
