King Salman Humanitarian Aid Center and ARCS Cooperate to Treat Thousands in Herat


KABUL(BNA): Under the auspices of the Afghan Red Crescent Society(ARCS) in Herat, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center is treating over 4,000 eye patients.

Fakhruddin Dakar, a representative of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, informed the BNA that the treatment of 4,400 eye patients in the province will be conducted over four days by the Center. This initiative will include surgeries for 400 individuals.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Asif Siddiqi, the operational head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society in the western zone, stated that in addition to this effort, the Red Cross is also providing free treatment for serious illnesses such as heart defects, burns, and bone diseases.

It is noteworthy that a few days ago, the same center treated the eyes of more than 5,000 people in Kabul.
