Kabul (BNA) Both President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah are committed in bringing electoral reforms, said a statement from the presidential office, the other day.
The joint leadership of the National Unity Government in consultation with parliamentarians, politicians and notable figures has decided to bring reforms in electoral system, the statement said, adding the selection commission which is composed of women rights activists and civil society entities would act independently to discharge their duties. The government of Afghanistan is committed for electoral reforms and with keeping impartiality would support the decisions of selection commission and its work would soon begin, the statement asserted.
