President Ghani, CE Abdullah Visit Sardar Daud Khan Hospital

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani visited Shaheed Mohammad Daud Khan Hospital, visiting different divisions of the hospital in the wake of the terrorist attack, a statement from the presidential press office said. Dr. Abdul Raziq Siawash briefed the President about the condition of the hospital, saying that during the terrorist attack all the patients and wounded were transferred to safe compartments of the hospital where they were treated as usual. The President thanked the doctors and security forces for their pluck of saving the patients and wounded, adding “You triumphed over the enemy and saved your compatriots.” President Ghani told Dr. Siawash, “Prepare a full report on the damaged parts and equipment of the hospital as soon as possible, s that top-priority measures will be taken for their re-construction.”
Later, the President went to Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Hospital and inquired after the wounded who were being treated there. Some of the wounded people narrated the atrocities and brutality of the terrorists to the President as they had witnessed the appalling scene. The President thanked the doctors for attending to the wounded, saying, “Your sacrifices indicate your commitment to Afghanistan and humanity.” He added that those doctors and security forces who demonstrated their sacrifices in saving the wounded will be rewarded. According to another report, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdulla also visited Shaheed Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan Hospital, praising the bravery of the security forces in suppressing the enemies’ attacks. Dr. Abdullah instructed the doctors and officials of the hospital to spare no effort in treatment of the patients and those wounded, adding attack on hospital was against Islamic teachings and as inhuman act.
