Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani chaired a meeting of the High Economic Council in which various issues on its agenda were discussed, a statement from the Presidential Palace reported BNA.
The meeting approved the changing of the department of the national petroleum and gas to the company of petroleum and gas and called launching investigation into the petroleum reservoirs in the capital, Kabul in coordination with the ministry of finance and the land administration and clear investigation into the capacities, strategic reservoirs and their management, the plan of changing the department into the company of petroleum and gas in a specific timeline based on periods and scheduled and clear inspection of the current capacities were of the key importance.
The president, after hearing information provided by the participants of the meeting, said the private sector can take part in the creation of national petroleum and gas company, but prior to this, the current problems should be met and a complete clearance should be available, said the statement.
About the Muheb Tower Residential and Trade Project and the AIB central office the president said they had the right of purchasing and selection of the equipment, but the Breshna Shirkat should play the monitoring role on the quality. The meeting also approved the Breshna Shirkat and Central Bank’s presented draft plan on securing power of the Muheb Tower Company.
