Kabul (BNA) The twenty-fourth victory anniversary of the jihad of the people of Afghanistan was marked here in Kabul, where President of the Islamic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah spoke on the occasion, BNA reported the other day.
According to the reported at the grand ceremony, which was participated by second vice president, Sarwar Danesh, speakers of the two houses, minister of foreign affairs, Salahuddin Rabbani, religious scholar, Mawlavi Qeyamuddin Kashshaf and some cabinet ministers, the president precisely assured that the national unity government would mark the day both at the Arg (the presidential palace) and all over the country, whenever the Afghan nation exist.
“The country’s five thousand year history clearly indicates that Afghanistan is not a dealer country,” said the president adding Afghanistan was not in favor of war but, would respond it with sword if needed.
The president said as the representative of the national unity government, they were responsible for providing services to the families of the country’s martyrs, but the enemies of the country were creating deadlocks.
“Jihad in Afghanistan was only a proud for the country but, for the entire word and the world is indebted of the jihad of the people of Afghanistan,” said the president lauding the Afghans with less and primary facilities fought the world’s biggest army equipped with modern and sophisticated weapons and got victory.
He asked the people for staying firm alongside the government to launch what he said a next jihad against what he blamed a prevailing corruption in the government offices.
The president assured that Afghans all were united and would stay united in the future, though the enemy wanted to create discord among them.
The world countries stood alongside the Afghan mujahedeen and supported them, even some countries with discords among, supported the jihad of the people of Afghanistan, where they fought the former soviet forces invasion, as they get united against terrorism.
“Now the security forces of the country, including national army, national police and NDS personnel have to conduct another jihad, which fighting terror and helping the people get rid of explosion and suicide bombings, the welfare of which would not only goes to Afghanistan, but to the all Islamic world” the president added.
The president asked the religious scholars and writers to unveil the feature of those calling malfeasances and evil Jihad and shed the innocent bloods in the country’s cities and villages.
He also denounced the negative consequence of corruption, something not less than terror and war; the alien circles have imposed on the country.
Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, in his speech on the occasion frankly pointing to the country’s president anti-terrorism remarks as saying terrorism had not good and bad – all were equal and should be fought equally.
Lauding the victory of the jihad of the people of Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah said undoubtedly the jihad of the people of Afghanistan could help tens of millions of people get rid of the communist regime in the world and the victory should not only be restricted in Afghanistan, but should be marked worldwide.
Pointing to the ongoing conflicts, he said the enemies of the people of Afghanistan, interpreting their crime a jihad that is incorrect as he blamed them for shedding the innocent bloods and their behaviors couldn’t be justified under any religion.
“Those who imposed war and distraction on our people and are not ready to refrain from, should know that they will harm worse than us,” said the CE. Some other participants including both house speakers, minister of foreign affairs also spoke at the meeting lauding the jihad of the people of Afghanistan, with some calling for legally trailing those critics of the jihad.
