Appointments Have Been Based On Eligibility, President Ghani

Kabul (BNA)  President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, in a meeting with the Uzbek and Turkmen tribes elders, here at the Presidential Palace said that his appointments were only for eligibility of the individuals, a statement said Sunday.
The president after hearing the demands and suggestions of the two tribes’ elders on provision of facilities in the field of health, education, application of fair projects in the country, said a six member committee of the two tribes should be set up to discuss key issues with him, said the statement.
The statement was quoted as saying that no seat was restricted by any special tribe, but all his appointments were based on eligibility.
“Much has been done in the past three years to establish strong relation with the central Asian countries, particularly with the neighbors and you would soon be witnessing wide changes in this field,” said the president adding electricity distribution for Khamab and Qarqeen districts were among the government priorities.
He said the country’s security forces have changed from defensive to offensive situation and the country’s north will soon be witnessing great security changes. The country’s president also praised the unison of the country’s tribes and asked them to provide their specific plan to be discussed in the future meetings.
