Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan has recorded 253 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s total cases to 47,641 on Wednesday.
Officials in ministry of public health reported, with 18 new deaths in the last 24 hours, the toll has mounted to 1,865.
The total number of active cases of COVID-19 in the country stands at 8,291, as of Saturday.
The total discharged cases are at 37,485 with 138 new discharges in the last 24 hours.
It is mentionable that until now 157,316 samples of coronavirus has been tested in laboratories of the ministry across the country, the officials added.
COVID-19 global toll has increased to 65,967,222 and the deaths are reported to more than 1,519,883 according to John Hopkins’ global dashboard.
