Kabul (BNA) The special envoy of president on reforms and good governance Ahmad Zia Masoud as part of his visit to ministries to evaluate its performances and programs visited the ministry of Higher Education yesterday.
In his address there at the ministry, Zia Masoud stated that promoting higher education is the main pillar of development of a society. In the absence of higher education and cultural infrastructure it is difficult for a nation to develop, the president’s special envoy pointed out. The positive development and progress of a country is linked to its cultural infrastructures and education basis, Zia Masoud said, adding the developed countries invest on education curriculum. Afghanistan won’t develop unless it make development in its education system, the special envoy of president on reforms and good governance noted. He also said those students graduated from universities should have specific position in society, otherwise their education would prove useless. The higher education system should be made on the basis of the requirement of the time and the needs of society to improve social situation of Afghanistan, Masoud pointed out.
