Kabul (BNA) Mishrano Jirga (Upper House) chairman, Fazal Haid Muslimyar, and the first deputy of the house, Farhad Sakhi met Nangarhar governor Mohammad Gulab Mangal here yesterday, BNA reported.
According to the agency, Mishrano Jirga’s chairman praised the people and security force of Nangarhar province for their bravery and stance against the terrorist networks, in particular Daesh, adding the winter season could be a good opportunity to suppress the enemies of the country. Muslimyar went on asking the provincial officials to implement development projects in those areas which were cleaned from the presence of the terrorists, adding since the population of Jalalabad city is increasing, the energy should be extended to the remote areas. Welcoming Mishrano Jirga’s chairman and the accompanying delegation, the Nangarhar governor said that ground and air operations are going on against Daesh militants in the province and have sustained heavy casualties. Nangarhar governor also pledged to consider demands made by the Mishrano Jirga chairman, adding some projects have been taken in hand to be implemented in Speen Ghar areas. The meeting was also attended by a number of senators and head of the secretary to national assembly.
