OIC Summit Held In Turkey

Kabul (BNA) The Istanbul Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Countries was held under a firm security plan in Turkey, where the country’s Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah spoke and met with some member countries leaders and foreign ministers, BNA said the other day.
Turkish Foreign Minister, Maulud Chawoosh Oghlu, whose country is hosting the summit for third year, called sectarianism, civil war and terrorism the main challenges faced by the Islamic World under the sensitive situation, the agency reported. The summit, in which the overall situation of the Islamic countries have been discussed, Syrian’s ongoing condition had been spoken on, though, there was no representative from that country at the summit, said the agency. The secretary general of the organization spoke about the Syrian situation and blamed Bashar Assad for being responsible of what he was committed, the agency said adding however the remarks were not supported by an overwhelming majority of the members. While Iran is supporting Bashar, Saudi Arabia’s King Malik Salman says no place in the upcoming Syrian fate for him, the two countries leaders are expected to sit under a single ceiling for the first time, since long time tension.
