Italian Tourists Embark on Cultural Journey to Ghor Province

 

KABUL (BNA) A group of Italian tourists has embarked on a remarkable cultural journey to the enchanting province of Ghor in search of historical marvels and breathtaking landscapes.

The iconic Jam’s ancient minaret, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its architectural splendor.

According to officials at the Department of Information and Culture of Ghor, a total of eleven Italian tourists have specifically chosen this province to explore its rich historical and scenic attractions.

Ghor Province, nestled in Afghanistan, has long been hailed for its historical significance and natural beauty.

The Italian travelers, avid history enthusiasts, have expressed their deep admiration for Jam’s ancient minaret, an architectural marvel that stands as a testament to the region’s glorious past.

Rising to a height of over 65 meters (213 feet), the minaret dates back to the 12th century, when the Ghurid dynasty reigned over the region. Its intricate brickwork, geometric patterns, and intricate calligraphy have captivated the attention of archaeologists, historians, and tourists alike.
