Kabul (BNA) Chaired by Second Vice President Sarwar Danesh, the law committee’s meeting was held yesterday.
In the session, draft law on grazing, modification draft of a number of articles of higher education law as well as modification of draft of a number of articles of military officers’ law were discussed.
Draft law on grazing that was reviewed in the session has been prepared in six chapters and 26 articles in cooperation of ministries of justice and agriculture, irrigation and livestock.
Minister of justice Abdul Basir Anwar while introducing the draft law asserted that draft law on grazing that was approved and enforced in 1420 lunar calendar was not responding current needs in the society, adding that finalization of the new draft law on grazing was a need.
After delivering visions and suggestions of the committee’s members, it was decided that the draft law should be reviewed under the supervision of ministry of justice.
Modification draft of a number of articles of higher education law was also discussed in the session.
Minister of higher education Najibullah Khwaja Omeri said that the draft law on higher education was aimed at making effort towards enhancement of academic capacity of government universities and addressing problems and providing facility for absorption of young academic forces of the country.
After discussion, law committee approved modification draft and it was decided that the issue of academic ranks, condition for PhD and obtaining of Professor Decree and appointment of figures having bachelor degree should be further discussed again in cabinet session. Meanwhile, modification draft of a number of articles of law on officers’ privileges was also discussed in the session.
