Two Projects To Be Implemented In Nangarhar

Kabul (BNA) Construction work for two projects was started by the Minister of Rural Rehabilitation in Nangarhar province the other day.
The projects which include construction and asphalting of 2.5km road and construction of 1275m protective wall in Surkh Road district of the province.
Opening the project, Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Wais Ahmad Barmak said, “The projects costing 660,000 US dollars are to be completed in six months, adding asphalting of 2.5km road will benefit hundreds of families in Bagrami area of the district.”
The Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development also said it was determined that additional 15 million US dollars to be spent in various reconstruction programs in Nangarhar province.
In opening ceremony of the projects, secretary to Lower House of National Assembly Sayed Ikram said they are trying to attract consideration of government related to acceleration of reconstruction process of infrastructure in Nangarhar province.
Meanwhile, residents of Surkh Road district have previously promised to maintain security of the projects in the district.
