Lashkargah City (BNA) Since a month military operations has started by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) to annihilate Taliban militants in center and two districts of southern Helmand province.
Commander of Afghan National Army in the south of the country reported BNA, the operations were conducted in different parts of Sangeen, Nawa districts and Lashkargah city the provincial capital of the province, which until now 87 Taliban fighters including their several top commanders and Pakistani rebels lost their lives and dozens others were wounded.
In additions, some heavy and light weapons, military mobilizations and war equipment have been seized by Afghan security forces.
Hundreds Afghan National Army, Afghan National Police, National Security Directorate and Afghan Commando Forces are involving in the operations and continuing till the mentioned areas clean-up from existence of armed oppositions, the source added.
