WB, ADB And Donors Should Be Loyal To Their Commitments Towards Solving Budget Problems, CM

Kabul (BNA) The Council of Ministers with President Hamid Karzai on the chair held its periodical meeting in Arg yesterday.
Presidential press office reported BNA, as per agenda, the president expressing concerns over slowing down the routine works of the ministries, government departments arising out of prolonging election process said that delay in announcing the presidential election results not only damaged the economy of the country but also slowing work in the government bodies is tangible.
The president also instructed the ministers to continue their work normal and perform their daily duties as usual until the power transferred to new government.
To keep on work on development projects, the president instructed the ministers for finance and foreign affairs to contact the World Bank and Asian Development Bank as well as donor nations to act upon their commitments and solve the problem of budget with regard to uplift projects.
Acting minister for justice in the meeting presented the draft on supporting human rights in government departments and said that in line with the directive of the Council of Ministers, the said draft has been prepared in three chapters and 12 articles so as to respect all international conventions with regard to human rights.
The Council of Ministers after comprehensive discussions approved the draft on supporting human rights in government bodies, in principle and tasked the justice ministry to finalize the draft.
Based on the decision of council of ministers, the director of independent local organs presented the acquisition of 6926 square meters land of Ahmad Shah Baba Durani at a cost of per square meter 40,000 Afghanis, presented to the meeting.
At the end of the meeting three international accords which include protocol against trafficking refugees via land, air and water, cooperation agreement of Afghanistan interior ministry and interior ministry of Tajikistan and memorandum of understanding between national radio and television of Afghanistan and radio and television committee of Tajikistan and the trio accords were approved.
