Kabul (BNA) Three Afghan powerlifting athletes could to obtain silver and bronze medals from Bench Press Professional Asia Championship.
Khwaja Farid Ahmad Sadiqi head of powerlifting today told BNA, the tournament was held from 15-20 October, 2016 in Tashkent city capital of Uzbekistan, which 13 Afghan powerlifting athletes were participated in this competition.
Aziz Ahmad Hamas Nijrabi at the weight of 83 kgs could to achieve silver medal, Shapoor Totakhail at the weight of 120 kgs and Wazir Sakhi Zada at the weight of 105 kgs succeeded to win bronze medals, Sadiqi added.
It is supposed that Afghan powerlifting athletes will be participated in Suborto World Cup championship that to be held in India as soon.
