President Ghani Accepts Credentials of New Australian Ambassador To Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani received the credential of the new ambassador of Australia to Afghanistan Nicola Mary Gordon-Smith, during a ceremonial guard of honor organized Saturday morning on the occasion here in the Presidential Palace.
The two sides discussed a range of issues of mutual interests, underscoring the expansion and strengthening of bilateral ties.
President Ghani expressed his gratitude to the Government of Australia for supporting and assisting Afghanistan and wished Ambassador Smith success in her new posting.
Ambassador Nicola Mary Gordon-Smith expressed delight over commencement of her mission here in Afghanistan and assured the President of expanding mutual relations between Afghanistan and Australia.
According to another report, minister of foreign affairs met the newly appointed Australian ambassador in his office here yesterday. FM Rabbani praised Australian support to Afghanistan and wished success to new ambassador over assuming his new mission in Kabul.
The ambassador also assures her country’s full support to Afghanistan, adding would spare no effort to make Kabul Process success.
