Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met Frank Bakke-Jensen Defense Minister of the Kingdom of Norway yesterday evening.
According to information of Presidential Palace’s press office to BNA, the meeting was held in Arg and both sides discussed on mutual interest such as bolstering of Afghan-Norwegian relations, fight against terrorism and extremism and other regional issues.
Mohammad Ashraf Ghani thanked from aids and cooperation of Kingdom of Norway to Afghanistan in various sectors, particularly cooperation with Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANSDF) said, the assistance has been effective for Afghanistan and we welcome prolongation of such aids.
Afterward, Mr. Frank Bakke-Jensen while expressing his regret regarding recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan said, Norwegian government in the framework of Resolute Support Mission will continue supporting with Afghanistan, especially, funding, training and equipping of Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANSDF).
