Kabul (BNA) At least 4000 armed oppositions were killed by Afghan security forces within the current year in north and northeast of the country.
According to BNA report, General Adam Khan Matin deputy commander in 209 Shaheen army corps said, Afghan security personnel by launching 88 military operations during the current year succeeded to annihilate 4000 fighters of Taliban, ISIS and other terrorist groups in north and northeast of the country.
More than 3000 insurgents were injured and hundreds more were arrested during the military operations, Matin added.
Hundreds top commanders of the terrorist groups have been killed and injured during the operations, Matin further added.
Over 4000 different type of weapons and dozens vehicles belonged to the terrorists have been discovered by Afghan security forces, Matin concluded.
