Deputy PM Baradar meets Deputy PM of Uzbekistan

KABUL(BNA) Mullah Abdul Ghani, Baradar Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Sardor Umurzakov and his accompanying this evening in Presidential Palace.

Economic, transport and transit projects took to discuss in the meeting.

Afghanistan and no country is in danger from our land, said that the Islamic Emirate pursues a balanced development strategy with all countries and Afghanistan is willing to cooperate with world, especially with his neighboring countries

He added, rule of governing in Afghanistan is now normalizing and economic projects have been launched in many Sectors.

Afghanistan is ready to further develop economic relations with Uzbekistan, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic expressing hope that the railway project (Tashkent-Mazar-e-Sharif-Kabul-Torkham and Peshawar) and the Sarkhan-Pul-e-Khumri 500KW power project would start in the spring of next year and assured the security of the mentioned projects.

Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Sardor Umurzakov expressed satisfaction with the security situation in Afghanistan, saying that the Uzbek adimistration is convinced that Afghanistan is an integral part of Central Asia and should be part of regional economic development, “We are committed to continuing our humanitarian assistance, ” he said, “We want start of practical work on these projects soon.” He added that they hoped that important decisions would be made in the Kabul railway project, as it starts in Afghanistan and that the role of this country is important.
