KABUL(BNA) The Minister of Interior Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Alhaj Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, met with influential figures of Khost, Paktia and Paktika provinces.
In the meeting, the influential figures of the southern provinces shared their experiences with respected Haqqani, discussed a number of issues and solutions in their communities, and assured that they would continue to support the Islamic Emirate in all circumstances.
Afterward, Excellency Haqqani, thanked them for their sacrifices during Jihad, adding that the Islamic Emirate had no intention of retribution against anyone and called on them to invite those who had fled Afghanistan.
The minister assured them that they would provide facilities for electricity, schools, madrassas and health centers and advised them to take seriously the rights of women following the decree of Amir ul-Momineen and to eliminate those traditions which are for the disenfranchisement of women, as well as allow tribal leaders to inculcate a spirit of amnesty in resolving ethnic disputes.
At the end of the meeting, the tribal elders pledged that they would use their influence unanimously to ensure that women enjoyed the legal rights to inheritance and marriage, and that it was wrong to abuse women and claim any women in disputes and to put an end to all these traditions.
