Senate Discusses Issues On Its Agenda

Kabul (BNA) The Senate in its yesterday’s session discussed the issue of electronic identity cards.
The deputy minister of interior told the senate session that distribution of electronic identity cards is a national move and identifying the identity of the Afghans and added that having such a document can ease the process in the elections.
Chaired by Fazle Hadi Muslimyar, the senate session asked Mirza Mohammad Yarmand deputy minister of interior and Eng. Farhad head of electronic identity cards distribution to provide explanation of this process.
The senators asked questions from Yarmad and Eng. Farhad who shed light on the process of distribution of electronic identity cards.
They said that distribution of electronic identity is not a political process and every one can receive them in secure and insecure areas.
They asked the armed opposition forces to participate at this national process and they too obtain the cards, otherwise they will face problems in their routine chores.
