Senate Passes Bill On Wedding Parties

Kabul (BNA) The Upper House of the parliament with its chairman Fazel Hadi Muslimyar on the chair passed the bill on wedding parties yesterday.
Aimed at checking useless expenditures in wedding parties and promoting Islamic values and culture, the bill prepared in four chapters and 25 articles to facilitate establishing family, good relations between couples and prevents violence. It also prevented holding engagement ceremonies, birthday celebrations and welcoming Hajjis at restaurants. However, the bill allows inviting 500 guests in wedding parties, stating more than the mentioned number can’t be invited.
