Dozens of Families Access to Electricity in Kandahar

Kandahar (BNA) With the construction of a power plant in Kandahar, dozens of homes received light and energy for the first time.

The plant was built at a cost of 4,500,000 Afghanis as part of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development’s Citizenship Pact program in Spin-Boldak district near the Durand Line.

The power plant in Spin-Boldak generates energy from the sun’s rays.

An official from Kandahar Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department told BNA that with the construction of this power plant, one hundred and forty houses received electricity.

The villagers expressed satisfaction with the construction of the power plant and said they were working to maintain the project.
