Kabul (BNA) Under a decree from the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, hundreds of prisoners have been released on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr days, BNA reported the other day. The decree covered only those committed light crimes, those with remaining fewer time of their prison terms and those of overage prisoners, the agency said adding some hundred women from Herat Prison has also been included in the figures covered by the decree, said the agency. The released prisoners were advised not commit crimes anymore and remain as helpful members of the society, according to the agency.
