Afghans Sharing In Sadness, Grief of Muslim, Brother Palestinians, President Karzai

Kabul (BNA) Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met with Palestinian ambassador to Pakistan Walid Abu Ali at the presidential palace office the other day. According to presidential press office to BNA, at the meeting, President Hamid Karzai once again expressed Afghanistan’s deep sadness and sympathies over innocent casualties in Gaza Strip.
President Karzai while offering greetings and best wishes of Afghanistan people to president and brother people of Palestine said that Afghanistan people shared in sadness and grief of brother and Muslim people of Palestine and further felt their pain than others.
In return, Palestinian ambassador to Pakistan conveyed warm greetings of the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abas and the country’s people to President Karzai and Afghanistan nation, praising Afghanistan people for their goodwill, good feeling and financial assistance to Gaza residents.
He added the assistance of Afghanistan people to Palestinians showed that the assistance has come out of heart of Afghanistan people and such good feelings and goodwill were particularly valued by the people of Palestine.
In the meeting, the Palestinian ambassador Walid Abu Ali asserted that his country was interested in reopening of its embassy to Afghanistan.
President Hamid Karzai welcomed opening of the Palestinian embassy to Kabul, considering it as important in further consolidation of relations between the two brothers and Muslim countries.
