Kabul (BNA) Care-Taker of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development signed ninety-four development projects with officials from the development councils of 23 provinces yesterday.
According to BNA, Professor Mujibur Rahman Karimi, Acting Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, said during the signing of the contracts, the mentioned contracts include construction of conservation walls, retaining walls, irrigation canals, agricultural water storage, transport development, construction of concrete roads and water dams in Badakhshan, Badghis, Baghlan, Farah, Ghor, Kabul, Kandahar, Kapisa. Khost, Kunar, Kunduz, Logar, Nangarhar, Paktia, Panjshir, Parwan, Takhar, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Laghman, Paktika, Nuristan and Zabul will be implemented.
Karimi added, the cost of these contracts is estimated at one billion and forty-five million Afghanis, ten percent of which will be paid by the local people.
