KABUL (BNA): Bayat Power Company officials
announced their plans to increase the capacity of gas power generation in the northern regions of the country during a meeting with officials from the Office of Administration Affairs.
During the meeting, Eng. Ahmad Zia Khalid, head of the Investment Facilitation Department at the Office of Administrative Affairs, expressed support for the company’s decision and highlighted the opportunities for investors in the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
Currently operating in Jowzjan, Sar-e Pol, and Faryab provinces, Bayat Power Company is set to add approximately 100 megawatts to its production capacity in the second phase of thermal power generation from natural gas. The company aims to further expand its power generation capacity to 200 megawatts in the third phase.
