Bank Loans Regulate Based on Islamic Values in Jawzjan

SHEBERGHAN (BNA) Officials in Jawzjan say that private banks that used usury and interest by giving small loans have been stopped since the Islamic Emirate come to rule.

Mawlawi Mohammad Yasin Waqas, head Promotion of virtues and Prohibition of Evil of Jawzjan, said in a gathering meeting of the province’s clerics Council that earning interest is forbidden in Islam, and that small bank loans in Jawzjan are regulated by Islamic Sharia law after the rule of the Islamic Emirate.

According to him, private banks in the province have now virtually stopped lending and profits, and those who violate the order will be dealt legally.
