FM Meets His Qatari Counterpart

Kabul (BNA)  Salahuddin Rabbani, Minister of Foreign Affairs met the other day with Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs, Khalid bin Mohammad al-Atia in sideline of 42nd foreign ministerial meeting of OIC in Kuwait.
At the meeting, Afghanistan foreign affairs minister first praised Qatari government for worthy cooperation to Afghanistan and briefed related to recent achievements and future programs of Afghanistan national unity government in foreign policy and economic developments sectors and the government efforts towards peace and reconciliation process, hoping by maintaining security across the country and tightening lasting peace and stability, Qatari traders and investors could invest in Afghanistan as a center of future economic opportunities. Afterwards, Qatari foreign affairs minister considered that Afghanistan was in the heart of each Qatari resident and had a high position before the government of Qatar, adding that he wanted peace and stability in Afghanistan and would spare no cooperation with Afghanistan.
At the end, both sides exchanged views and discussed on opportunities for further cooperation between the two countries. According to another report, Afghanistan foreign affairs minister met the other day with Sartaj Aziz, national security and foreign relations advisor to Pakistan Prime Minister at the sideline of 42nd foreign ministerial meeting of Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) in Kuwait.
