Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai in his meeting with German defense minister Ursula von der Leyen discussed different issues including continuation of relations between the two countries, security pact between Afghanistan and US, continuation of NATO forces presence, transition of security responsibility, election and peace processes. Presidential press office stated BNA, the German defense minister provided the president with information about his Afghanistan’ tour and expressed pleasure and lauded developments in different fields, particularly in the area of the security forces health over the last one decade.
She assured that her country would continue efforts to strengthen relations in various spheres between the two countries, particularly in training the Afghan security forces.
The country’s president also lauded friendship between the two nations and called it a historical tie between the two countries, as well as vowed that his country would keep continuing these friendly ties between both nations.
