Kabul (BNA) With the agreement of both presidential nominees on establishment of a national unity government, the US government says that its hopes the Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) be signed between Kabul and Washington till the end of current month. While congratulating the agreement of both presidential election runners of Afghanistan on establishment of national unity government, the US secretary of state, John Kerry said that through national unity government, they joined each other. This provides great opportunity for development of Afghanistan. State secretary of the US added that we hope after oath taking ceremony, the new president of Afghanistan to sign the BSA, because, signing of this agreement is in the benefit of both countries. At the same time, the senate of Afghanistan wants from new government that during signing the BSA with USA the latter should focus its attention towards the requirements of Afghanistan and should not hurry in signing of it.
Senators also laid emphasize that the new government of Afghanistan should set forth its requirements including equipment and funding of security and defense forces of the borders of Afghanistan. Deputy of senate, Mohammad Alam Izedyar says that the government of Afghanistan should set forth all issues which are include of BSA that enforcement and funding of security forces of Afghanistan and defending from borders of Afghanistan are from among them. The US is in favor of signing BSA with Afghanistan and the same to prepare the ground for presence of the US forces in Afghanistan for a limited time. According to it, the US forces in Afghanistan to have judicial immunity.
At the same time, a senior commander of NATO hopes that this agreement be signed soon, because it strengthens our negotiations about continued cooperation to Afghanistan. The US and NATO hope that new president of Afghanistan, Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai can have good ties with world nations.
During electoral campaigns, the new president of Afghanistan, Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai has asserted that if he succeeds, he would sign the BSA with the USA as soon as possible. At the same time, a number of witnesses in political affairs say that signing BSA with USA is a need. But this need should not be considered as the weakness of Afghanistan. A political witness, Muaeen Marastial said in the connection that I am assure after oath-taking ceremony, the first work that would be done by new president is signing joint security and defense agreement between Kabul and Washington. He added that both presidential runners are willing to sign BSA. Both nominees are unanimous in the connection. There is no reason for not signing of it. Another witness and civil society activist, Mir Ahmad Joyenda says that the BSA should be signed as soon as possible between Kabul and Washington.
According to their commitments pledged during electoral campaigns and the people of Afghanistan are also in favor of it, this agreement should be signed within the very days of taking the throne by new president. At the same time, a number of our countrymen while expressing their optimism about establishment of new government of national unity are believing that signing BSA with USA is a need, because it guarantees a stable tomorrow Afghanistan against the threats of foreign countries. This is in a time that recently signing BSA with the USA is one of controversial issues between the two countries but now, there are some hopes that considering national interests of Afghanistan, the new national unity government to agree upon signing of this agreement.
