President Ghani Meets Herat’s Shia Elders, Civil Society Activists, Youths

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, during his stay in western province of Herat to inaugurate TAPI Project, held separate meetings with a number of Shia elders, civil society and youths, BNA reported Sunday.
They congratulated the president for his efforts to practically inaugurate the TAPI mega project and praised him for the implementation of the key economic project, the agency said.
The Presidential Press Office was quoted by the agency as saying that the Shia elders, with representatives, Ahmad Ali Jabraili and Behzad Hakkak emphasized for the strengthening of unity and solidarity among the people, restoring social justice, holding transparent elections and securing citizen rights during the employment process.
The president assured them of making efforts to run a transparent and pay-exam based process of employment and that he meant “to cure the past wounds.”
“We are making effort to establish a legal government and own a society, in which the rights of entire citizens were secured,” said the president expressing regret over the last tragic events that slapped heavy blow t the four generation of the country,” the agency quoted.
The country’s president, also in a meeting with the civil society activists and the youths of the province, asked them for strengthening the national spirit by gaining experiences from the past generations.
He said Herat has provided the commitments and cooperation of the young generation to Afghanistan.
“We want wide relations with the neighbors and the world countries, on the basis of our foreign policy and our responsibility to restore tranquility is for the next live generations,” said the president.
The president assured that all of the countries’ villages would enjoy schools for children through wide urban gatherings for the next two years, and that the country’s waters would be managed to help farmers get access to irrigations of their farmlands.
