Five Taliban Militants Join Peace Process

Shaberghan (BNA) At least five anti-government armed militants laid down their hand weapons and joined peace process in northern Jawzjan province.
Brig. General Rahmatullah Turkestani police chief of Jawzjan told BNA reporter, a group of five insurgents along with their hand weapons have joined peace process in Aqcha district of the province.
According to another report, Afghan security forces succeeded to discover and naturalize two rounds of mines in the district.
Jawzjan police chief asked residents of the province to cooperate with Afghan security forces for preventing of terrorist activities throughout the province.
